North Korea Fires Another Missile

That nation also issues a warning to U.S. and its allies.

President Joe Biden met with the leaders of Japan and South Korea during his time in Cambodia last week. After the meeting, the three nations issued a joint statement pledging stronger ties and condemned North Korea for its recent missile launches.

On Thursday, North Korea’s military fired a short-range ballistic missile that landed in the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. The North Korean foreign minister stated that their “military counteraction will be more violent in direct proportion” to what they see as threats in the region by the U.S. and its allies.“

Across the past several weeks, officials of North Korea have increased their rhetoric while the U.S. reinforces its support for Japan and South Korea.  The North Koreans say their missile launches were “simulating” attacks on the South and on American targets after joint military drills were held.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for U.S. officials as they assess the threat posed by North Korea to both America and its allies.
  • For the president and defense secretary as they discuss responses with U.S. allies to North Korea’s missile testing.
  • For Secretary of State Blinken and diplomats around the world as they endeavor to maintain peace.
